Is the Eco worth 3K more than 5.0

Is the Eco worth 3K more than 5.0
I am in the market for a new truck and have narrowed it down to the 2011 F150 FX4 SCREW. I have driven both the Eco and the 5.0. I am coming from a 2007 F150 with the 5.4 and to be honest, both engines feel much better than my last truck.
My question is this. To buy the ECO with the max trailer package it will cost me 3-4K more (Rebates, cost of ECO and max trailer package etc). Is it worth it? I do tow a travel trailer, but I will not exceed about 8,000 to 8,500 lbs. The 5.0 configured like I would purchase tows 9100. The ECO tows 11,200, but only if you get the max trailer package. Please let me know what you think and why.
Thanks for your advice

Don't know where your dealing but where i bought my 5.0, the EB was only about a $1,000 more then the 5.0 even with the max trailer tow package. Something doesn't sound right.

It may not be worth $3k more. But when I bought my truck it only cost me $750 more. For what it cost me it was worth it.

I guese it all boils down to how you like low end torque. Thats where the numbers realy change from 5.0 They are both totaly new engines for the F150 so durabilty is still ? I gambled on the ECO and so far it looks like Im winning.Bubbabud 2011 XLT SCAB EEEEKOboost

You need to compare the exact same truck(model year as well), with the exception of the engine, if the sticker of these trucks(5.0 and EB) is 3,000 more for the EB for the same exact truck option for option, the dealer is ripping you off.

See:

You don't need the expense of the max tow package to get the EB over 9100 lb. Apples to oranges. Seems like you unnecessarily priced out the EB with max tow and then compared the price to a non-max-tow 5.0.

Thanks for the quick responses. I should have clarified a few more things. I know the difference is not 3k alone. The reason I got to that number is because right now I only qualify for $2500 in rebates on the Eco and $4000 on the 5.0 (Ford apparently has a few more 5.0's and wants to move them). Right there is $1500 difference. Then if you add the $800 for the Eco you are at 2300. I was also including the max package because if I go that way I might as well get the extra towing capacity. I know the stock Eco tows 9500lbs vs. the 9100lbs on the 5.0. By jumping up to the max package you go to 11,200lbs on the Eco. So you are right, apples to apples the difference including the current rebates is only $2300. That being said, which direction would you go and why?
Thanks again
