I'm off to get the XP plugs. I'll take more pictures if the plugs are worse

Are you saying you put in an ethanol additive? Just curious as to why?

no no, an Ethanol stabilizer such as Star Tron Enzyme fuel treatment or Lucas ethanol fuel conditioner with stabilizers (www.startron.com) and (www.lucasoil.com)

The startron is not needed unless your going to let the truck sit for more than a couple weeks. I use it in my boat if I have to run e10 (usually don't as I can get straight 87) but that's only bc sometimes the gas stays in it for a month or more and stabil doesn't help.

Dear Ford,
Why is it easier to change the spark plugs than change the oil in my EcoBoost? Are you trying to tell us something?

Did mine today. All were right around 0.037, I think one was around 0.040. I gapped them all down to 0.030. Mine were all very sooty, alighty red in color, but not that bad that I had to brush them. I only have a little over 7,000 on the truck and it will be a year old in a few weeks.

Didnt have time to test drive it, only start it. Seems to idle the same (like garbage), we'll see on my short drive to work tomorrow if I notice a difference.

However, with the small change in gap that I did, I doubt I will.

Got another 200 mile road trip to Detroit tomorrow for my grandpas funeral. Will post mpg. Maybe I'll have my dad drive since he's a little easier on the truck.

Well just my damn luck. I went to check the the gap in my plugs, which all of them were around .040, and I ended up finding a cracked one. Even worse is that it was after all the stores around me are closed. I guess I will be driving the wife's car tomorrow. I am not sure if it was cracked before I took them out or not. It doesn't look like a fresh crack, but not sure. This would explain a few things that I have noticed over the past couple of weeks though. I was wondering if anyone knows the NGK Iridium IX part number or the one step cooler plug? I wanted change out to one step cooler plugs since I got my tuner anyways, and now this gave me a reason.
