We're going to re-run the dyno test with equivalent 5.0L and 3.5L GTDI F-150 trucks at K&N with a Ford engineer present.

Instead of a Dynojet, we're going to use a Superflow chassis dyno that uses an eddy current to simulate a load on the vehicle - like when you're pulling a trailer.

We're trying to figure out how quickly we can get both trucks together in California. Very thankful to Ford and K&N for being such good sports about this and wanting to do the right thing. But that's how we roll (sorry, bad dyno pun).

BTW - can't wait to see what Fastlane has in store for its EB F-150.

Just wondering. When you dyno the EB will you be running 87 octane? If so could you put some 93 or 91, whatever the highest pump gas you can get so we can see what the difference is? Thanks if you can!

Me too, Dynojet dynos are garbage. I made sure the guy tuning my STi used a Mustang dyno or a road tune following the Dynojet dyno tune because I have seen too many crappy tunes from people who only used a dynojet with its no-load BS.

A side by side 1/4 mile run of the similar trucks in 5.0 & 3.5 trims would satisfy many IMO in addition to the dyno pulls.

Another test I would like to see on the dyno if the equipment would do it is simulating pulling a 2000-3000 trailer and then lock in the cruise control @ 1700 rpm long enough for the fuel mileage readout to stabilize on both trucks to simulate towing @ freeway speeds in a controlled setting.
