Default ECO BOOST in a 2012 Expedition?

Not sure if this is the proper place to ask this, but we are getting ready to order an new Expedition EL. Dealer thinks they will offer the EB in the '12 model year. I have been reading alot of the posts here regarding the EB. If Ford does offer the EB for the '12 Expeditions, I think I want it. What do you guys think of the EB motor in a 4x4 with 3.73's? I will not be towing alot with this but it will be the family hauler. Six passengers and cargo will be the mainstay of its towing. I plan on getting the tow pkg just in case i ever decide to tow and the extra large tranny cooler will be nice. I am worried about the power in that size vehicle. I also own a '04 powerstroke F250 that brings up the EB power/size issue. Right now, the Expeditions come with the 5.4's and I am really excited about the possibility of the EB. Might be worth waiting a few months for a '12 if ford offers that in the Expedition.

Again, sorry if this is not the place for this post, but i figured someone could direct me to the proper place if I was wrong, thanks.

BTW, i am a little leary of new motors since I went that route with my '03 and the new at the time 6.0.

The Expedition will be getting the ecoboost sometime in 2012. I would highly recommend waiting for it cause it is worth it. I have an ecoboost F-150 and it gets twice the fuel economy as the 5.4 triton V8. It is smoother, stronger, faster and more capable. I will never buy a truck without ecoboost ever!

The 2012 Expedition marketing info has been up on the Ford website for a while...

I know you where speculating the EB as a late introduction, but I that doesn't match how Ford handled the EB introduction on the F150.

With the F150, they announced the engine as soon as they announced the 2011 trucks last Fall, even though the introduction was not until Spring.

So no, I don't think you will see 2012 Expeditions with EcoBoost.

I do think you will see 2013 Expeditions with EcoBoost, introduced sometime late Summer 2011.

No dice. Look at the website, they only offer the 5.4. Kinda silly when the new F150 engines have landed Ford a new place on the market.
