-upgrade radiator, aluminum with double the surface area (immediate reduction in water temps)
-upgrade FMIC, reduction in TB-IAT (throttle body inlet air temp, post intercooler)
-upgrade oil cooler

Yes, a fall trip to fullrace in Phoenix for upgrades can work 4 U. Other than the big diesel. If u gave a large shed u could put the parts in. Or bupass the radiator an hook larger trany cooler up. That will take a lot of heat out of coolant. I would mount it behind cab with electric fan. U say u dont have enough air the way it is now to work well any other way. It is the best way to get that trany heat out of the constant. Eventually choosing more truck, stronger gears an heavy duty diesel but that is another can of worms with longevity too. Many take their diesel to phoenix too for cooler upgrades.

details please (what radiator, what FMIC, what oil cooler?)

edit: I assume this oil cooler (http://www.full-race.com/store/ecobo...ooler-kit.html) - $700
this FMIC (http://www.full-race.com/store/ecobo...ler-kit-1.html) - $1100
but what tranny cooler? The raptor upgrade cooler from SDHQ is crazy expensive for what it is (IMHO). Also in a vulnerable spot to mount. ($700)

So for $2,400 I can not over heat my truck every time I go camping/hunting....beats a new payment i guess

Gpogle trans cooler fan assembly. Desert trans cooler fan assembly. Simce U horse power near 1,000,000 BTU an hour or nearly 30,000 BTU a minute at higer altitude where U have the problem U need more ways to shed ur heat. But winter is near 4 U. If u have head gasket or thermostat problem it wil still run hot in winter with heater full on.

Wow, overheating while towing at or below max trailer tow ratings that should not be possible, unless perhaps factory trailer tow numbers are fake and maybe that is why Big 3 are unwilling to conform to J2807 standard.

Gm conformed first a year or two ago, then ram and Ford for 2015. I'll bet the numbers go up for Ford, aside from the lighter body weight. They've always been conservative and GM was always optimistic.

If I remember correctly, the J2807 tests don't have to be done in high temperatures. So as long as they can tow in cool temps they can pass. And I think they only have to maintain a speed of 40MPH on the climb test.

Last time they were going to relise the SAE numbers for 2013 and nothing happened so I will have to wait and see what happens for 2015.
Funny part is all the manufacturer already have the numbers, it's just too scary to let us know.

Test to be done at high temperature (number escapes me right now) with AC on and not in recirculate.

Really? The big 3 are supposed to anticipate towing at max while using some random tune?
Lose the tune and see what is really going on. Otherwise, a cooling system upgrade is the obvious solution... And by that I don't mean the thermostat lol.

I take threads like this as a waste of energy, the truck is modded, and the OP doesn't want to deal with the results.
