EB coil pack connector

Replacements are sold with wire pigtail. You are expected to cut off the old connector and splice new into the harness. I would guess the reason why is because the connector pins are pull-to-seat.

There's been guys that have been able to loosen the wire ends and attach to the new connectors

That can be done if pins are push-to-seat. Do you know which it is? I've never looked closely at this style connector.

Not sure but there was a guy on another forum that was successful. I have more broken ones than good ones haha.

There is a tool to do those but I never got one.

You can use a sharp object like a dental pick to reach in & bend the little tab down so you can pull the wire out of the connector.
