Default The dealership actually made a good deal!

I took my truck in for it's first oil change this morning, and instead of using my first oil change on my Ford ESP, I was going to use a 50$ service card they sent me in the mail. The issue was that the card was VIN specific and for my 98f150 and not my '11. :-(. So , even though I was told I could use it on any Ford parts, they had to be for the '98?? Go figure. Long story short, I was not able to use it for my oil change and I did not need parts for my 98 since I no longer have it. BUT....now for the bright side. I went to parts dept and told them my situation, he agreed that was BS and he let me order whatever I wanted after he used a bit of magic with the comp! So, since I was not able to get the off-road package, when I bought my truck, I ordered the transfer case skid plate. It was 101$ out the door, but wih my 50$ Ford card, it cost me just 51$!! 51$ was well worth the piece of mind that knowing something is under there protecting vital parts when off-road... Thanks DEALership, for not being a complete STEALership. :-). My skid plate will be in tomorrow morning. It will be a nice little project for the weekend! And just to throw it out there, I have 5300 miles on my truck with NO problems and a RAFE of 17.6mpg with about 65% city, and 35% freeway. It's a f150 ecoboost 4x4 SUperCrew, with 3.55LSD.

That is good! What are the two temp gauges for? I guess the gauge to the far right is for temperature... Transmission?

Indeed. The one to the far right is transmission, and the second one from the left is engine coolant temp. In the options you have the digital readout for the tranny temps. The highest temp I've got was 201* and it usually runs at 196*-198* with everyday driving.

RAFE is the running average fuel economy. It is calculated by the using the info from the last 500 miles. This is what also determines how many Miles your DTE will be when you fill your truck up. If you unplug the battery this info disappears and will have to be driven another 500 miles o get an accurate #. You can access this information by using the engineering test mode (don't quote me on the name), option. In a nutshell, to access this, push the "ok" button on the steering wheel with the motor off and key in ignition, in the off position for about 3-5 seconds, then turn the key to "on" position, so that the productivity screen turns on, and this whole time you are still pushing the "ok" button, after a few seconds, your screen will flash to a different screen that says, engineering test mode, and release the button, and it will stay with that screen and then push "ok" again and again, and so on.....and that will get it to scroll through all of the options available to view. There are quite a few I have no clue what they are, but a few cool ones like trans. Temp(which is already an option on the main screen), gauge test, digital coolant temp, a digital tach, and digital speedometer and a few other things such as the RAFE. Whoa. Sorry. Long rant. But I hope I answered your question and a few that may come with knowing the first bit of information. :-)
