So you had the T5 tune and it still felt like stock? Cause from reading all the threads its a smooth shift and its almost like a cvt transmission. I have driven CVT vejhicle before. stock on our trucks way different. Just curious as your inital post reads a lil different then that post!

Nope never had T5 tune for reasons stated in my last post. Also like I implied before, how can you transition fro 6000 rpm to 4000 without feeling it? Excessive slip. A cvt is infinitely variable meaning there are no fixed ratios. Our trucks have 6 gears. It should be noticed when the gears change...that is, unless something is slipping. I would be curious to hear the results of a question posted in a diesel forum stating "who gives the best power with the most seamless silky smooth shifting." I can hear the laughter now.

Now...when I get it I will post the differences I notice and whether what has been claimed in a few of these posts is true and that it mimicks the SSI tune now. I hope not...
Be sure to data log your new tune. Some of us have seen high knock retard numbers with MPT that we didn't see with others. Don't take anything for granted.

Thanks. My first set of tunes I noticed it pinging during high rpms and had them address it. I lost a little power but pinging was gone. Ill definitely datalog it this time as I have seen that others have benefited from sending MPT their logs.

I just wanna say I did the same thing, went back to my 5star tunes and havent looked back. Glad I made the switch back and can actually talk to someone who isnt always pissed off sounding when you point something out.

Oh, and my mpg's are back up above stock levels rather than below.
