Ok Dick,

what is the deal with quit with the blatant lies? I got confused, I had T4 and it was $150 to upgrade to T5. Proof is in the attached pic. Read it weep and quit with your BS accusations.

MPT was replaced by SSI and you loved it, but now you are saying it backwards..what will happen in a few more months?
And what did I say in MY VERY FIRST POST?

What is your problem man? Seriously. And no, I wont go back to having my tranny make horrible noises.

Even though I was wrong about the T#, SSI still was charging me for an update. MPT is not charging me a dime for 3 updated tunes. So basically I was going to pay SSI the same amount for two revisions of their tunes as I did for the programmer and MULTIPLE revisions of MPTs tunes. Like I got the programmer for free basically.

You sure are taking this personally. Is there a reason? I have not insulted anyone and have only freely expressed my experiences and opinions.

I'll build a drag car if I want to set records, but even with that at the end of the day there will always be someone who is faster.
I really don't know what this has to do with anything I said. I stated one tune had more power at lower speeds and the other had more at higher speeds, never said a thing about it being faster overall. I'm not trying to be the fastest truck by any means. Currently my truck is stock other than the tune. The fact that you have DPs, well you obviously are spending more money than I am on getting more power. My truck in DD form with the SSI tune was tearing up my tranny. I knew what it was doing and didn't like it. The fact that it doesn't make the horrific clutch chatter or band slip(or whatever it was) I am much more comfortable with the idea my truck isnt just going to fry the tranny when I am getting on the hwy.

Not a dime. I pay for my tunes, too.

Good post.

My guess is that you will continue to hear about both. The electroglide is a pretty awesome feature; albeit it might not be the fastest, but is sure is pretty sweet to have that as an option. Btw, it has NOTHING to do with additional "slip." lol. Again, guys who have NO idea about tuning talking as if they do really helps NO ONE.

And yep - there is a whole new set of base files in the works. It really is not a short term, try to rush to win the battle tomorrow, as it is about advancing the platform yet again. SSI is unique in this perspective and has been for (in the tuning world) awhile now. We can and of course will compare at points in time, but that's short-sighted cause tomorrow the game will change. Heck, wait till LMS rolls out the xv1!

Wow. A man of 1 blaming a tune for messing up his transmission.

OK, Let's play this out:

1) There are many SSI tuned trucks and no one else having this issue
2) You have no visual evidence to provide that even suggests anything wrong was occurring
3) Your argument has spilled into other areas exposing you have more general issues - I will refrain from calling them personal
4) You spouted off "fact" about how the electroglide is accomplished and were completely WRONG. This in and of itself is a non-starter.

It's odd that you found it necessary to come to a public forum and spout off when you did not work directly with the tuner to address something you found to be a perceived issue. It seems many guys running tunes have done that with great success and upon necessity - and that is why we now have TREX/MPTv10/LMS last version, etc. et al.

Therefore, your statement of correlation is substantiated by exactly nothing. This really is trolling, but of course bottom feeding will always occur.... it just will.

As I said, enjoy your tune, but I'd be aware/beware of a popped engine if my substantial number of PMs are a forecast of things to come. This is without a doubt a pay to play world we all dabble in.

Ok, I'll play your game.

1. How do you speak for everyone, do you troll every F150 forum there is?
2. No, but when there is a horrible noise going on right under the seat (not to mention you could feel it too)...and everyone asks WTH was that when they are riding with me and it does it...something isn't right, I dont need to see it to know that. You might get a flat, and not see it per say, but you sure as hell know something isn't right.
3. You stating that you will refrain from calling them personal directly implies you are calling them personal. May I ask what they are? Simple fact is that I no longer have the noise (or the feeling) and I am much happier now.
4. Ok whatever, I cant argue with you because I dont want to spend the time to research what you mean. Quite frankly, I dont care if I have any concepts on how something works wrong. I know that the noise and vibration was wrong, and that is all I needed to know.

Isnt Trolling the act of waiting for people to respond so you can cause more trouble? Didnt you just do that? In fact, I made three posts, then you made three posts (7:23, 7:29 and 7:34)...and my last series of posts was the first time I posted anything you could possibly badmouth since my original post. And was my last series of posts Trolling? I think not, I technically could have combined all three of those into one, but had read one response at a time from Dick. Now lets see, I have posted at three separate time frames before this post and I was the OP. How many have you? and at each post or series of posts you made, you had a lot that was argumentative against me. Who is trolling?

Lastly...if I had stayed with the SSI Tune, I feel I would have definitely lost my tranny at some point, and much sooner than I think MPT's tunes will ever make me pop my engine. And yes, I will enjoy my tune, much more so than the SSI, because with it I could never get on it and feel ok about it. Now I feel like I can (sure I COULD be wrong, but you have nothing to substantiate that).

Sounds like your were lazy. Didnt contact the tuner to revise the tune to make it custom since not everyone likes there trucks shifting the same way as you can see Joewee and others have stated in various tune threads and you saying no transmission stuff was done with the tune is completely false! Again it really seams like you took the cop out road to not discuss the issue with your tuner and instead of giving him a chance to tune it to your liking and help the product work for you, you decided to bad mouth him and his tune cause you couldnt do the legwork involved on the consumers end. Yes?

Im glad you like your new tune but was it necessary to bad mouth the other tuner when you didnt do your part? Apparently you think yes!

Its not fair to people looking for tunes and the tuners themselves to get bad info or bad publicity cause someone didnt do there end of the deal.

FullMetal he was saying that Shawn himself said that no trans calibration was done. He said he did contact Shawn about the problem and that was the reason given. All I said was that any tune made has a trans revision unless otherwise specified as stock trans shifting.

Yes I did talk to the tuner, and that was how I found out about the T5 tune. I havent been on here but once in probably the past 4 months. I talked to him about adjusting the tranny so that maybe it wouldnt do that, and he told me it wasnt tune related because he didnt adjust any of those settings. Thats where that statement in my first post came from.

Not only that, I asked him if it would benefit on other aspects if I sent him the data logs and he assured me that his tunes were safe and there was no need for me to send him the data log. Next thing I asked was how much boost does the tune bump it to. No response. MPT flat out tells you before you buy it in the descriptions (at least they did when I first got them). Next thing I asked was about how much HP to expect. No response.

As for why I canceled my order with SSI. Look at the dates between the time I paid for it and the time I got my refund. I had not received my tunes. I asked twice after payment as to when I could expect them with no response. Not only that but it gave me time to seriously think about the fact that he told me that he doesnt adjust the tranny, and that straight tells me that it is the problem. Only when I asked for a refund did I get a response, and that took a day after the response to get (paypal was method of payment, could have been done in three minutes.)

If you think I am full of crap about the lack of adjustment of your tranny, try it with the SSI tune on it, then switch to Stock. Forget about the power. See if you can tell any differences in shift points or firmness. I couldn't.

Say he does in fact adjust the tranny, but for some reason told me otherwise (why would I lie, really? and for that matter, why would he?), then that straight up says he was trying to avoid it being the reason my tranny was slipping. Whereas if he did adjust the tranny, I would have thought he would say "well let me send you one with the pressure adjusted to see if it helps." Instead he temporarily talked me into spending another $150 on a tune that wasnt going to address the issue I was having.

I definitely tried to get this solved with the tuner before hand....look at the dates on my screen shot above. A little less than a month ago. 2000 miles worth of MPT tune. I have not lied once.
