Well, simply put, I have no reason whatsoever to lie about my conversation. Perhaps the shifting like butter is because its a factory shift setup with too much slip for the power...the more slip, the smoother it will feel. Not to mention the fact that now my slipping noise is gone.

End of story.

I received an email back from MPT regarding updating my tunes. They said there is no need to change the tune for the intake (which makes sense) but they saw I had revision 4 of their tunes, but are now on revision 10. Thus they are sending me the updated versions at no charge. Much better than the $150 SSI was going to charge to get a T4 tune to replace my T3.

Now...when I get it I will post the differences I notice and whether what has been claimed in a few of these posts is true and that it mimicks the SSI tune now. I hope not...

My revision 10 isn't touchy at all. The only claim that it mimicked SSI is on shift strategy and not sensitivity. I think in the next few weeks you will see several MPT tuned trucks clocking some good times.

.

There was no charge involved when T4 replaced T3, there never was a charge for updates until the T5(T Rex and Raptor) came about. I call BS.

I was about to comment on the same thing. OP give us your opinions or experiences, but let's keep the blatant lies to ourselves. If anything the price of a new tune was $50.

Good for you, that is what we are saying. He said it was a $150 to change his T3 to T4.

It's always weird to see people flip flop..

MPT was replaced by SSI and you loved it, but now you are saying it backwards..what will happen in a few more months?

The way he's testing tunes and revisions for LET he might be on motor 3 lol. In all seriousness I guess we will hear more tuning buzz once people hit the track and not spout about awesome street shifting smoothness buttery silk trans strategies. Ssi is supposed to be working on a T4ish variant to knock out some fast times right?

I personally don't believe a T4ish variant is needed. I plan to run the T4 tunes I've had for months with the addition of my DPs. I would love to go 12s but I'm not trying to be the fastest, otherwise I'd be running nitrous, meth, drag radials, etc. I want to know what my truck does in DD form and be happy with it. I'll build a drag car if I want to set records, but even with that at the end of the day there will always be someone who is faster.
