I made sure to order the 3.73s and Limited slip! 3.73 with locker or limited slip is what I always get on both GM and Ford trucks.

I AGREE!!
Ditto! I prefer to order my trucks instead of buying what the sales manager thinks i want on his lot. Eveyone worries about mpg's so mist trucks are 3.31 or 3.55. The 3.73 were hard to find. Especially in a crew with 6.5' bed! And black 302a.

Exactly! I always order my new vehicles. I prefer them the way I want and I prefer factory fresh, not sitting on the lot for test drives! That first 20 miles is very important to break the engine in right!!

Get it tuned. I have been running 5 star's 87 octane performance/tow tune for 40,000 miles now, and I can say from experience that it completely changes the performance of the truck. Also, with 35's I average 16 mpg and can easily get 18 on the interstate running 75mph.

Had a 2013 5.0 with a 3.55 rear end and was not happy with it even after tuning it with 5 star tunes after the engine replacement. Very hard on fuel, down on power and was less reliable than I was hoping a N/A V8 would be. Ended up getting rid of it even though other than the engine the truck was extremely solid and never gave me any problems. In 2013 when I bought it I had the opportunity to get a 2013 FX4 with the 6.2. Should've gone that route.
