You know, I just realized that the 2012 has different specs for 5.0 spark gap. The 12' is 0.049-0.53 weird.

Thanks for the info. I am going to change the plugs and see if that helps. I don't think the Lucas was the cause, since I only began using it after I noticed the pinging. I'll try a different fuel without the Lucas as well.

X2, When I first looked at the color on the tip of the plus I assumed lean, which would make sense given the detonation.

I think you have been given solid advise here with getting a datalog on your truck.

Does the LiveLink have the ability to data log A/F ratio? I assume it would be a 0-5v readout you would have to convert, but wondering if it gives you that option on these trucks?

That's something I would like to see along with short term and long term fuel trims, and knock count.

This is the 2011 data. Ford changed the recommended gaps for the 5.0 in 2012, and changed the gaps for the 3.5 in 2013.
Original/New:
5.0 = .041-.047/.049-.053
3.5 = .033-.037/.030-.033

Funny, since I found them all at .055 from the factory when I checked them back in June. Should I gap the new ones to the 2011 spec or the 2012 spec?
