I own a 2011 EB SCrew FX4. She has 13k miles and currently and remaining oil life of 33%. We have had no snow where I live yet, so all 2WD driving. I drive very conservatively and do not get into it. The air temps have cooled some but not much. Over the last month or so my fuel economy had declined by 1 to 1.5 mpg (from avg of about 19 to 17.5 to 18 ). My driving habits have not changed. Is this more than likely a cooling in temps or something deserving a trip to the dealership?

Same thing happened to me when the temperatures starting getting cooler. I am used to this from owning a diesel for the last 7 years, but wasn't expecting it with my EB. My driving habits haven't changed either. Your not alone...

Same with me. I went from 19.x in August to 16.x now. I asked the dealer and he said it may be a combination of cooler temps and winter-blend fuel.

I haven't looked into this issue with EB engines but it's more than likely just winter fuel. Can't do anything about it but wait until the spring.

Yup, winter fuel. It's to be expected.

Winter fuel combined with perhaps warming a vehicle up?

My winter fuel numbers have sucked in all vehicles. I don't get in a cold vehicle.

Great so I am not the only one noticing a 1.5mpg fuel drop.. I think its getting about time to get a cheap daily driver.

You better crunch some numbers because unless you drive a ton of miles it won't be worth the added cost, unless you find an absolute steel of a used car with good MPG. Assuming you're thinking about just getting another car for the winter months only.

Winter blend gas and tire pressure...most likely. Even though my tires are filled with nitrogen, they still lose 1 to 2 pounds in cold weather. I try to maintain 37 psi in my tires for mileage...
