Thanks for the recommendation.

I actually emailed ecopowerparts a month ago about my project (3.5 ecoboost in a mustang) and no one ever responded. I waited a few weeks and called and left a message, no one ever called me back so I gave up. Livernois responded to a couple emails and then never responded again. It sucks, all I want do is go fast with an ecoboost lol.

This is for Geno51 or full race

How did the truck sound with the GT turbo's on it. I think if the f150 ecoboost sounded anything close to the ford GT nobody would complain.

I'm looking for my first Eco right now and this will be on my short list.

I dont think turbo wheel has much to do with the sound when compared to pipe length and shape and more so muffler.

But I am not geno or full race so this post is for everyone else.

I know there cams and manifolds, and exhaust. But maybe full race knows how different the Ford GT engine sound is from what we can achieve with the f150 Eco

I changed the heads, cam, upper and lower intakes, swapped in long tube headers and off-road H-pipe on my '92 Mustang. It sounds like a 100% completely different car now. On previous Mustangs, I just did headers and mufflers and they sounded nothing like my current car.

We would have to do a lot of work to our trucks to make them sound anything like the new Ford GT.

I had way more turbo whistle but still did not sound like the GT lol!

The gt had way more lope on the cams and very short exhaust. But the turbos did improve sound some. Just nothing like the gt.

Sorry about the delay in response I am not logging in here every day like i used to lol

that is correct, the blade aero on the compressor wheel is the latest generation EFR aerodynamics (as seen on the indycar EFR7163 turbos). these use an aggressive "trim" with very large inducer and comparatively smaller exducer. Im talking 80% here

These turbos perform extremely well at 16-18psi... that is in the meat of their highest operating efficiency. With the latest tuning strategy, F150 EcoBoost actually has a healthy amount of fueling headroom. Its taken some real evolution in the tuning software, but serious progress has been made. In fact tomorrow I am traveling to Florida with BW engineers to meet with SCT on this topic

Agreed. In this case, its the shape of the propeller blades

What gaps and plugs are most guys seeing spark blow out? We are running our gaps very small @0.018-0.019 currently and working well

the gearing, transmission, and cams/heads make a big difference in exhaust note. My recommendation is to use our resonated exhaust with aftermarket DP's, the truck sounds great like that

aside from being a used/remanufactured part, the problem with the batmowheels or 58mm turbos is twofold -

-they get a very large diameter compressor upgrade. but they do not get a larger turbine wheel. (similar to using 37" tires with 3.15 gears)
-most aftermarket compressor wheels are made in small production batches in china, untested ie: no compressor map. You can not accurately guess with blade aero. it may work, but its not 'right'

i dont believe anything called "batmowheel" makes power..
