There's a thread about it somewhere, basically that big black can is it, you just cut it off and roll with it.

There is a small tube welded to the exhaust pipe that removes the exhaust noise associated with the turbo.

On a 2013, the oem E-Bov works pretty well. There is nothing wrong with it at all, and there is no performance advantage going to an aftermarket mechanical BOV. the only advantage is that the tial Q can vent any moisture which accumulates in the system, whereas the E-Bov will not

they are both equally loud, if you want louder than stock just dont recirc the E-Bov (leave it open, venting to atmosphere)

i hope you like the catback with a proper tune and 3" catback exhaust upgrade there is a huge increase in performance on these engines!

alot less lag with the trottle. Ordered A Intercooler with the Tial Q, should be here in a week. Any ETA on the tunes Geoff??

Thanks Mike

That makes absolutely no sense with what was asked regarding the VTA.

Disconnect the electrical connection to the BOV, there is a screw that needs to be removed from the cannister, the BOV twists into the CAC like an oil cap. You want to remove the black cannister from the whole assembly, I used a hack saw to remove it.

Default Tune/DP/CAI?

Geoff,

Hope all has been well over there in AZ. I noticed the other week that you guys posted a video on IG of the Freak-o-boost starting up and it sounded awesome!

I was wondering what you can tell us about the downpipes and tune? I'm in the market for an upgrade of these parts and as you know, im not putting anything on the engine that doesnt come from you guys which is why i have no problem waiting. Just wanted to see if these projects are still being worked on and if you plan on releasing them to us soon.

Also on another note i was thinking of adding a cold air intake and wanted to know your thoughts on doing so? I remember in the Freak-o-boost build you had said you guys were going to compare stock vs drop in vs cone filter vs CAI. I already have the AEM drop in and its great but if im going to move up to downpipes and a new tune id like to add the CAI as well, if there is anything to be gained from doing so. Thank you for your time Geoff, i really appreciate it and i look forward to hearing back.

What modifications are need to make the non-resonated full race exhaust fit the Tremor? (Ecoboost, 126" wheelbase)

Thanks mike, great to hear from you. Things at FR are going well (aside from the summer time heat). We have not updated our EcoBoost articles on Full-Race.com yet but some significant updates are coming pre-SEMA. The Freakoboost is up and running with twin EFR turbos, our twin-turbo kit is nearing completion. It uses our existing intercooler and upcoming downpipe. upgraded GDI Fueling solutions are in process and working to maintain compatibility with our new 2015 EcoBoost Mustang. The F150 single turbo kit is a distant memory and will not happen. We have some other products and projects which i can not post about yet, but are significant. here are a couple photos of some work going on:

this photo shows the OEM F150 EcoBoost fuel tank basket, modified with a Walbro 416 high pressure E85 compatible fuel pump, and external return line. We are going for max power so went so far as to remove the intank FPR and installed a turbosmart FPR at the HPFP inlet, with a dedicated return line going back into the OEM location on the basket.

here is a photo of the hand-fabricated aluminum radiator project we're working on. At the power levels we are running, the standard ecoboost radiator is a little small for the heavy loads and desert heat... i dont know how many of you guys haul regularly but this is an important upgrade in my experience

lots more in the pipeline!

Downpipe design is 100% completed and production begins very soon. We purchased every competitor design and nit-picked each one apart, adding our own unique features and touches until we were confident there was nothing given up. In order to keep the price competitive, we had to outsource the tube forming - this added to lead time. However I can confidently say our downpipe will be the highest quality, best fitting and best performing ecoboost downpipe on the market, at any price

An unrestricted CAI is an important part of the equation. In fact, working with Ford engineers has helped provide a lot of insight to this, and if you compare the 2015 F-150 Ecoboost's Airbox to a 2011-2014 you can see the major difference being drawing in air from the front of the vehicle - not from the wheel well and not hot radiator-outflow air (like most aftermarket intakes). We took a look at every competitor product and are now finishing up a CAI design that gives nothing up and addresses these factors. Not going into too much detail - our solution is a simple execution that's been a long time coming and the result is a unique part in the market and will truly provide "cool fresh air" from the front of the vehicle.

thanks guys, make sure to post a photo once you do the install!

Sorry for the bad news, but there is no update on this. We've requested some revisions be made to the tuning software before it is ready for "emailing tunes" - that has not been completed yet. There are some companies rumoured to come out with their own F150 tuning software in the next year, I do not know how it will all unfold. At this time there are a number of tuners you can turn to, but I do not believe we can confidently email customers aggressive tunes at this time, the calibration software just isnt there yet. We can do one-at-a-time dyno tunes here in-house but that doesnt help 99% of the people wanting this service. I hope it wont be long now

That's a good question - our exhaust was designed to be simple to use with different wheelbases. Take a look at the muffler section here:

to use this on a 126" wheelbase will require making that section 19" shorter. If you're interested to try this out and can provide photos please let me know! thank you

edit: in other news, ford just released pertinent details on the 2015 F-150: http://blog.caranddriver.com/2015-fo...-3-5l-v-6-too/
