If that is the case the rings are damaged and your compression is less than required in specs.
That's very interesting pt, I'm sure going to have a long discussion on what I was TOLD that had been performed. And there is a second pump (low pressure) and is this run electrically? That is likely the one that they tested and told me they were testing the high pressure. And I would agree that I likely have damage. At this point I just hope is plenty so it is apparent and they don't try and tell me there is no damage.

This just seems to go on and on. Research GDI pressure pumps on U tube. It explains the ECU's part in turning on the solenoid valve at the HPSP for the injection event lasting mili seconds an the mechanical operation of the piston pump inside it.

I guess I don't need to worry about whether or not the test was or even could be performed because they are going to replace the pump.

Awesome as that is the easiest and most obvious. Hope as all else seems so bad for you. Think about the disgusting out comes of a new short block an same fuel system with negative results.

Default Well, I hoped it would solve the issue.....

The results form the last oil change show that it had 5% fuel dilution on oil with 2,000 miles on it AND the new HPFP has made no difference. I am above the full mark by 1/2 inch again after about 400 miles. I am next going to push for all the injectors to be replaced, even though they supposedly determined that they weren't leaking.

The truck in the shop right now having the injectors replaced. If this does not fix the issue, that is strike four and I am going for the buy back.
