To the OP.
Really not unusual to see blue smoke on a new vehicle, could be residual oil in the exhaust system from manufacturing, could also be rings on the pistons haven't properly seated yet and are pulling a little oil, may need a little more break in time.

Let the service department check it out and then test it again and see the results. If it is no better go onto the next EB. Not all vehicles are perfect.

Modern vehicles don't need to seat their rings like they did 30 years ago. More powerful software/CAD allows for tighter tolerances from the get-go.
They wouldn't be able to get away with running synthetic oil out of the blocks if they did. Even the E-boost runs a synthetic blend coming off the assembly line.

I guess most of us wouldn't know if it is normal or not, since this truck only had 3 miles on it. This was the first drive, so how do we know how normal it is? Maybe if he drove it another 15 minutes the internal oils would have already burned off and it wouldn't have smoked while idling after the drive. There are a lot of film covered parts that get super heated that first time and the smoke has to come out the tailpipe.

I just mentioned it as a possible cause, just one of the things I have seen through the years. I agree blue smoke is not normal, but being a new vehicle I wouldn't rush to judgement. Let the service department check it out and test drive it again. Also problems do happen in manufacturing and things are not always perfect.

EXACTLY why you should drive it at 5 miles like you will at 500,000 (You do more damage by not letting it warm-up and romping on it too soon than anything else normally). I personally like a 3k oil change over a 5k for your first oil change...but it's all in preference. (I'll prob do the 1 st oil change after towing to WV tomorrow). Should be at 1600 miles.

22.5k on an EB, regularly pull 3-5k and put 1200lbs of landscaping bricks in the back, havent had a problem yet.
