I have logged IAT in various temps and conditions, and only time I've seen significants spikes is heat soak sitting at redlights. And the temps drop very quick once you get moving.

You have a great idea that jas worked on other boosted vehicles, but I'm afraid it's going to be a waste of time and money.
I tend to believe that IAT is pre turbo. It never strays from ambient very far. The stock air/air may be efficient, but I don't think it's that efficient.

That is certainly possible. Wouldn't make a lot of sense to be that way.

I've also logged the IAT (with tje same svangauge) on my sonata turbo, it runs ten to fifteen degrees hotter almost all the time.

I need to poke around under the hood and see if I can find the IAT location.

Highly unlikely. The sensor "should" be as close to the throttle blade as possible. It isn't possible to correctly adjust Timing and AFR using an IAT input from preturbo. I'm willing to bet the IAT sensor is between the intercooler and throttle blade.

The illustration on Tascaparts.com shows the IAT sensor right after the airbox. That doesn't seem right!?!

In years past, IAT has actually been located in one of the intake runners.

Are you sure that's it's not the MAF sensor you are seeing?

I'm certain that's what it is, but Tascaparts.com calls it a sensor for the intake air system. No notation of exactly which sensor.

That's very surprising. My old TII had a huge front mount, with ducting and a very large unobstructed surface area and my temps would be 20+ at cruising speed. When you are measuring your IAT would be of concern as well, if you're measuring while not into boost then it wouldn't surprise me that they were right around ambient, but start getting into boost, and you should see a pretty significant rise.
As someone else mentioned, an electric fan isn't much use, once you get moving there is more than enough air flow. A fan would be helpful if you are staging for a drag race, but in such a limited situation you might as well ice the IC off with CO2, nitrogen, or a compressed air bottle turned upside down.
I'm interested to see where they placed the temp sensor, I would be very surprised if it weren't post IC.

Unhappy

I never took into account when I sprayed using the washer fluid button that the wipers would still run their normal cycle... So much for not having to run wires and adding a separate switch
