Looks like tuning could play a role in the white deposits. Keep the thread going. Good info.

I was just about to mention that , maybe the problem isn't the fact that its one step colder , the heat range I dont feel will cause that issue . The problem my rest with the NGK Plugs. I have the Autolite plugs and I have no problems at all .

Ok here is a little proof for you guys. The problem is not tuning its the NGK Plugs , I pulled the plugs out of my Buddies TT 5.0 we finished up last week and checked out the plugs because I was curious since I knew they were the NGK's. Im ordering the Autolites tomorrow and replacing them on the TT , my Eco already have the AutoLites and I have not had any problems with them .

Are the AutoLites colder or OEM heat?

The Autolites are one step colder , like I had mentioned before installing a one step colder plug doesn't make the plugs look that way . Ive used one step and two step colder plugs on almost every modified car Ive ever had .

So far the Autolites have worked out for Me if I have time tomorrow I will pull one of them out to check but I dont suspect to see anything wrong with them .

We don't need one step colder plugs people! Not sure who started this idea or why. Just regap stock temperature range plugs.

Turbopete please post the autolite part #. I'm doing the catless downpipe next week and might as well check these NGKs eventhough I'm not having any problems. If they are white like these pics then I'll swap them out.

My Flex plugs - Autolite XP-5364 after about 2K miles with two bottles of nitrous and tons of 100 octane in it.
Same plugs in my wife's truck but easier to pull from Flex

The one step came from running nitrous...

I only switch to them as a test. Running it hard at the track often, taking the safe route with colder for less chance of detonation. The autolites are getting the same mileage as stocks, same power (ran 13.9 on them last time I was out) and everything seems normal.
