Default clockspring question

I'm posting here cause I know this section gets alot of views. Can a bad clock spring make the steering wheel hard to turn one way and make a noise that sounds like twisting wires? also make airbag light go flash on n off when turning? 2003 Superduty not my Ecoboost

It certainly sounds like a plausible conclusion.

Question

Oh-yea. I had a problem with the clockspring on my '94 T'bird a few years ago. My airbag warning fault light kept flashing, and the cruise control was eratic. At the time I even didn't know what a clockspring was. But it surely could be the problem.
