Check Engine Light on solid at 850 miles on Ecoboost

I got the same problem, on my truck. I called my dealer and he tell me it can happen if the gas level is low. When it happened for me, my level was just a 1/4 and I had to brake suddenly because a car jus appear in my way to turn, so when I push the fuel pedal to pass the car, the motor has no power and the RPM was going just 4800 and my check engine ligh flashes for 5 sec. and turn off after and never came on again. After that all was working properly and the motor have his power. My dealer will check my truck tomorow. Let me know what your dealer will tell you, I will do the same.
P.S. My english is realy not perfect, I hope you'll understand what I mean.

Faulty evaporative valve according to the dealer. So it technically is not a bug of the new engine. They had to special order it and will replace it next week. They said to keep driving the truck. I will let you all know next week if that fixes the problem.

ASE Master Auto Tech
Im a technician if a fleet shop of about 400 vehicles, evap codes are quite common on both Ford and GM vehicles. The vent valves are about 90% of the problem or the gas cap's been left loose. They vent to the atmosphere most of the time therefore are susceptible to dirt getting in them and not sealing when the pcm commands them to hold vacuum in the tank to check the system for leaks. PCM thinks theres a leak in the gas tank or the lines and sets a code but the vent valve just didnt hold. I've seen them go bad on new vehicles.

My mazdaspeed3 never had an evap problem but on the forums you'd catch the occasional "evap emissions valve failure" post, so it does happen. It's not just turbo'd DI engines either - they all have them.

In my first Yukon I had the 350 throw a rod at 4499.6 miles in BFE northern Arizona. It happens. Second engine has over 140k on it and running strong. I also had a bad tstat on the truck from the factory, never been changed since. Nothing is perfect and don't expect it to be.

Light back on after driving it about 400 miles after the dealer replaced the valve.
Grrrr!!!! Maybe I do need to mod a gas cap.
So I will make another appointment with the service rep. My salesman keeps Emailing me to finish the owner survey so that they get nice marks. I am not going to even start filling it out before this gets resolved.

Same issue with EcoBoost Engine Light staying on
I, too, had the same problem. My EB has about 2,000 miles on it. Took it on first trip hauling a 7k pound travel trailer to the mountains of Red River, NM. What an amazing truck! Everything was flawless. Then, when coming home, I got out of the mountains after about 150 miles and I filled-up. Drove another 150 and fuel gauge said I had about 14 miles before empty. (By the way, when it said I was about 90 miles to empty, I used map to locate a station 50 miles away. By the time I got to that station that was 50 miles away, the gauge said I only had 14 miles remaining!!! What happen to the extra 26 miles I was supposed to get? So much for the smart system. Believe me, I was sweating it to make it to the station! ) Anyway, I filled up, got back into truck and engine light came on and stayed on the remaining 300 miles home. The following day, when I started the truck, no engine light. Even while the light was on, I sensed no problems. I was scheduled to take truck in anyway to replace a defective grill and had them run a check. I just found out that they found NOTHING! No codes. Nothing! So the wives' tale that it will always keep a signal must be incorrect. I complained a bit about this and the service advisor said he would speak to the tech about it. I'll re-post if I find out something more.
