Do you top you tank off when filling up with gas?

The light came on when I was down to about half a tank. I tried filling it up after reading about the code, but it didn't change anything. Took it to the dealer today and they said its some kind of purge valve that pressurizes the fuel tank to check for leaks. It'll be about a week before they get the new valve, but they said it wouldn't hurt anything to drive it.

that's good news from the dealer then. I'm always happy if they are able to diagnose and fix the first time, don't mind waiting as long as they know what they're doing.

How about a p144a code. I have a 2011 5.0
