Changing the cams

http://youtu.be/K920Kxq3eLY check this sound...and it is stock cammed.
Any idea if that is true? and if so did they get it fixed?
I wouldnt mind having the tune, though I would rather have a real cam with added power, but that wont be happening for awhile.
Would be pretty sick to pull up next to somone at a stop light in a jacked up f150 loping like a mother!

7500rpm gear jammer
I read a little about those tunes awhile ago. Some where saying they were stalling the vehicles.

Obviously your experience with the ghost cam tune is far different than my experience. What problem did you have when writing a ghost cam tune? Did you change the correct parameters in the tune? Am I correct in assuming you used the SCT software to do it?

All it does it take from the low end and give to the high end of the RPM range. So, in theory, its a wash.
I would definetly recommend buying the combo because you can always add a converter or gears to make up for the loss down low.
I have the 5star combo and love it. You can definelty tell a difference.

Unless its for looks don't do it.funny thing is after dinner I'm taking mine off for more power and lower et's.

Unless you installed theBoss intake after the tune and cai like I did,how can you say it's better or worth it.I have tried to keep my mouth shut because M Ike from 5star is a great guy and I. Don't want to cost him any buisiness but IMO in

I agree with you on the Boss intake except I have one thought on you taking yours off. If you are putting GT cams which have more duration on the intake then it will benefit more from the boss intake. Plus if you add a stall converter to move your launch rpm up then you will be more in the powerband where the boss intake will help. It's just a thought. I did recently read a article where they dyno'd a modded 5.0 on a engine dyno and it lost as much torque as it gained in HP so it's a tough call.
I did just purchase a tuner from Mike but I decided not to buy the Boss intake.

Good call on going with the GT cams I think because you won't lose low end torque, I think. I've been looking at every dyno of 5.0 f-150s and 5.0 mustangs and I can't find one where the mustang makes less torque. It seems to just make torque longer for more HP. I'm pretty sure I'm going to put GT came in my truck, just not right now. I'd like to get 20k miles or so on the truck before I do that.

As you say it was a tough call.i wanted to prove a point while I'm waiting for the converter that the Boss is not any benefit other than looks.i've raced my nephews time and again with the same mods except the intake and they all beat my truck and time.don't forget were ta
lking about on the motor not the spray.also some people who installed the Boss on there mustangs without a converter also lost et.
