Cel P0301 cyl 1 misfire
To start I have a 2011 fx4 crewcab. Ecoboost with 55,000 miles. Yesterday on the interstate I go to pass a semi and get after it . Truck takes off like normal and then suddenly violent shaking and cel is flashing. I pull over and shut truck off. Light goes off. Continue on and light comes back on solid and stays. A scan shows p0301 cylinder 1 misfire. I replace plugs because I had been wanting to anyway. All were gapped .45 from factory or worn to that point. Start truck lights still on. Put ford coil pack on and same thing. It wasn't rainy or damp when this happened. Any ideas out there. I don't want to take it to the dealer but might have to.

Your post is a little vague, did you clear the codes? Does it still miss fire? How many miles on truck/engine?

55,000 second line of post. No I didn't clear the codes. On trucks past the light would go off on its own when issue was resolved. It still had a slight miss at idle.

Try clearing the code and reset ECU. Let it relearn and see if UR ok then.

Are you certain about that gap? That seems wide.
Do you have a hole in your CAC or a Catch can?
Is it tuned?
