I have the dual afe intake and it also does that but it's normal. There is a hose connected from the turbo blow off value back into the air intake hose. It's meant to make it quieter so that u don't hear it but when we put our new cai on it makes it a little louder and the blow off air is then coming out of the two air intake cones. It's all normal

oh well you shouldn't be hearing a thunk. Especially under your feet because the cai would effect anything down there. the only thing i can think of is that when the blow off valve shoots out the air back into the air intake tube that it gets backed up in there for a moment and makes a similar thunk noise. I've heard something similar to that like when im on the highway but i've never heard it below my feet. But there is a turbo close to there so maybe thats it. I'd take it off tho and see if it goes away. But im pretty sure its all normal

Yep. This ties into the "mysterious" 55mph shutter. Without CAI, you can't hear the thunk, you can only feel it. There are members who swear it's the transmission failing or other problems. I wish they'd install a CAI so they could hear the valve opening. Believe it or not, but there are members who want to start a class action suit over the sensation.
I'm not sure why you can feel the valve opening. Then again, I can feel the windshield wipers through the brake pedal, so who knows?

And I don't feel a think when the blow off pops but I can hear it. I can also feel the wipers in the brake pedal.
