My OEM plugs were shot at 41K miles. If the OEM plugs are weak, then a better plug might do a better job, but probably not 30 HP better. A test on another model of Brisk plug showed a 7 HP gain.

May be a silly question, but do these plugs need to be changed more often or what is the interval?

Not silly and probably too soon to tell as it looks like a new item, but the OEM plugs are sure as hell not a 100K interval as suggested by the maintenance schedule.

I would say yes. I switched mine out at 36k as the breakup got worse and worse...first started when going uphill...then also under light acceleration in 6th gear...then any gear and I accelerated it shook the whole truck. That was on the stock tune.

i'm not going to get into a 20 page debate over it.. to those that are interested give us a call and we can get you set up on a set of these i thought it was exciting info to share and sure it could be isolated that much of a gain but pretty much anyone who we've tested these plugs with have picked up something from just switching over to these so for the cost you don't lose anything.

You are talking about the OEM plugs, right?

Yep, 528's. Ran the stock ones, then another set. Switched to 534's 3,000 miles ago and not happy with those either. Trucks seems like its clearing its throat when you accelerate but it never clears...like it just doesn't take off...seems to be holding back. I am going to get with Shawn, and pull them out again and check them. If I were a little more mechanically inclined I would check the coils but not really sure how to go about that. May throw a set of aftermarket ones on, see what Shawn thinks.

Get a new coil pack, then move it to one plug at a time to see if it goes away.

We appreciate the info, just questioning whether the gains are really that high. We are hearing good things though. To me, even getting rid of the occasional stumble makes them worthwhile.
