Owners manual should be in either the center console, or glove box.

I say use MotorCraft filter for sure. I like full synthetic too, but sometimes use MotorCraft 5w-20 synthetic blend. Do NOT use a higher weight oil than Ford recommends! E.g., don't use 30w at high end except Ecoboost engine which takes 5w-30. Follow manual.

Motorcraft 5W20 sythetic blend oil and Motorcraft FL500S filter on my last 2 trucks. Zero issues. Won't run anything else.

Good luck and enjoy your first Ford!

My mechanic told me if I use anything other than Motorcraft filters, and Motorcraft synthetic blend oil in any of my vehicles he will not work on them.

He has been a Certified Ford Tech for over 30 years.

Check for fast lane coupons. Sometimes they are $20 oil changes. Makes it a no brainer....

Truck is very stout - no major issues to worry about. Any quirks IF they appear on your truck generally have fixes and the search button can help. The 5.0 can be a tad noisy for some and use a smudge of oil but if yours does this -it's normal and no side effects besides those symptoms... Again, IF....
