You don't need a tune for the boss intake you need it for the purge valve code and cai.

Where is the logic in saying that a CAI will require a tune but not an intake manifold? Both change your A/F ratio and the tune takes care of the stated problem of all the power being added to the top end of the RPM range. With the tune the 5.0 trucks make much better tq down low and up high. The Boss intake also changes the inlet height so I am not sure that the factory air intake would still work requiring the addition of the CAI anyway. Did you retain your factory intake in your mustang when you did the conversion?

This may be a dumb question but will that boss intake directly bolt on my 5.0 f-150? It's a 2013?

Keep in mind that the top dyno charts also include headers which will yield much better results because it really compliments the boss intake well by letting it breathe out the back.

I am going to be putting a boss intake on my truck next week and ill be at the dyno shop to do it. Ill let you guys know the exact numbers, Ill run the truck without it then as fast as we can install it and run it again to get as close as possible to identical temps/air/etc. Should be interesting, I just want to see numbers from somebody not selling the unit

I'll be interested in what you come up with numbers wise on the dyno. I'll let you know what difference it makes on the track! LOL

I was reading your sig and saw you have 3:90 gears. Where the heck did you get them from?

Nice. Sub'd

I have a boss intake and headers sitting in the garage for my 5.0 waiting to be installed. I'm about as busy as I could get right now so it has to wait.
