Boost gauge install

Easy fix. You put the split on the wrong side of the check valve. See picture for correct placement of t connector. You'll get vacuum and boost at this spot. Once in there the boost gauge will move alot while driving going up to about 15 lbs and maybe only 1 pound parked revving it.
I was able to fix it tonight, works as it should. Only problem I have now is the gauge never reaches 15psi, so that has me wondering, is the gauge junk or do I have a leak some where I am thinking about just spending the extra coin and getting the Roush gauge, I'm sure this junk autozone one is the problem...at least I hope!

What's the highest you have seen? On a normal hard pull I see 12 lbs with quick spikes around 15 lbs right after gear changes. If you getting around 12-13 lbs then it's correct. Also is it reacting pretty quickly to your foot on the gas?

This Morning on my drive in, I noticed 12lbs and spike at 14 doing 90, not sure what's going on, I'll see if i can get some video of it on the drive home

From 1st gear - 3rd gear you will not make much over 7 lbs due to the torque management. 4th gear - 6th gear you should make 12 pounds with spikes up to 15. Also you boost will slowly decrease as you build rpms. So if your 5th gear and lay into it the boost will jump to 10-12 pounds and slowly fade off until it shifts to 6th where it will jump back to 12.
Overall it seems like your gauge is good but a better quality one will improve its responsiveness and look.

Yeah I'm going to pull the trigger on a new one. This evening I noticed when I was driving along at 60, I could hear the turbos spooling, but didn't notice any boost....quite confusing but I'm sure it has to do with junk gauge I've got.

How did you run the tubing? You might have some kinks or something. I didn't use the thin tubing that came with the gauges; I went and bought actual automotive vacuum hose. The standard tubing is packed so tightly in those packages it has a whole bunch of kinks and they don't come out to easy. I think I used about 10 feet of it. I routed it through the rubber grommet on the drivers side of the firewall and routed it up in the dash. Also do you have a good power connection to the gauge? I used a fuse tap in the passenger side interior fuse panel. That power is controlled by the ignition switch. If you can take that video send me the link to take a look.
I can make a picture tutorial to show how I ran everything if you need it.
Either way I think the roush gauge will look and work better.

Yep it's just double sided tape on the base. The mount is the Samsung dash mount for my phone and I use the USB2 port in the dash to power the dash mount so the phone will charge while it is in the mount. The app takes a lot of battery power being powered on all the time and the data that is updated as frequently as it is so it can suck the battery down pretty quick. I used the USB2 port to solve that problem so its nice and hidden and never have to worry about running out of power.

Boost :)
MANY MANY write ups on this and what you need exactly. I got what I needed from Monoprice for less than 5 bucks for everything. I made a post probably 6-8 months ago about all the pieces and part#'s I used. I'm not sure if you can just search by my name but you should be able to find something.
