Default Boost gauge install

Working on getting my boost gauge installed, tapped into the vacuum line close to the ball up the upper passenger side. When i start the truck, goes to about 20 vac, but doesn't move from there. When I hit the gas and let the boost build up, the needle flickers a bit but never actually shows I'm making boost. Is there a different vacuum line I should be tapping into?

Thanks!

im pretty sure you will not see boost pressure unless you drive and put load on engine. at a stop sitting still you will not see boost. Did you drive your truck yet?

Easy fix. You put the split on the wrong side of the check valve. See picture for correct placement of t connector. You'll get vacuum and boost at this spot. Once in there the boost gauge will move alot while driving going up to about 15 lbs and maybe only 1 pound parked revving it.

I searched "boost gauge" on eBay and holy crap there are thousands to choose from. Digital, colored, different psi levels. Not sure what brands are good and what to stay away from.
