I've broken more motors than I care to tally, and have broken them every which way. I can't recall anyone windowing a block and not wedging a rod to the point of seizing. Unless it broke the cap off and stayed righted and above the crank, which would be a miracle.

I always wondered what they did with that motor they used in all the Mike Rowe videos hahaha. Strange way to solve your shudder miss problem though .. I bought a Ram to get rid of mine.

"Of course it started to draw a nice crowd of people [everywhere] to see the new ecoboost on a tow truck..."

Yeah, I have noticed that too...large crowds of people...everywhere....whenever there is an F-150 on a flat bed; especially, if people recognize that its an EB truck...pretty sensational stuff!!!

Word speads fast, people stop what they are doing---they leave their work and leave their homes; once that word gets out, and spreads like wild-fire on social media.

I doubt it was a rod, as the style of driving while it happened is not conducive to that type of failure. Depending on how the hpfp is driven, it could be a failed pump that exploded and then allowed oil to pump out?? I have seen something similar with a 6.4 power stroke when it grenaded it's fuel system....

Man, I don't see how that piece of shrapnel is not a piece of engine block. That definitely looks like a cylinder liner to me.

Keep us posted as to how it works out.
