Default Block Heater

Morning all and Merry Christmas.

2011 Ford F150 - Ecoboost.

Is there a temperature at which the block heater will start up or does it just start up as soon as you plug it in?

Thanks

It starts as soon as you plug it in. If you use a timer you will save some on your electric bill.

Set your timer to kick on 3 to 4 hours before you plan on starting the truck

I run mine all night when it get below 0F at night.

I did not notice much an increase in my electric bill but it is sure nice how fast the truck heats up after being plugged in.
