No soot on my 5.0 and it's over 16,000 miles.

Yeah... Actually has stopped doing it after the tune. The only warranty mods that are even close to a void is the removable tune. I don't blame people for being paranoid about it though.

I run 93 octane and do not have soot.

I bought my F150 in April and used 93 octane all summer and never noticed the black junk like I do now using 87 octane........so I'm going back to 93 octane.......5 dollars more per tank full is a small price to pay for added mpg and a clean tail pipe.
