I'm a Borla fan. I have the single in/single out kit for my 5.4L and its pretty quiet when driving and interior drone is almost nonexistent. It is loud when the hammer drops, though. Keep in mind, as with most flow through mufflers, they seem to sound better over time, did it with my Borla, same thing with the Magnaflows I had on my car.
Another vote for the Borla. If you are looking for a system that is loud enough to sound intoxicating but won't be stupid annoying, the Borla touring system is the one to get. I have the Touring on my 5.0 and it has absolutely zero drone. You can also get the Sport and ATAK dual rear exit systems which are significantly louder, but they supposedly do not drone.

I'm also looking for the same system, but I think I'm going to go with ebay. All the listings for the Magnaflow 15461 are listed for more than $800, but several will allow you to make an offer. I offered one dealer $500, he countered with $620, then I countered with $550. That's where we stand now. I'm waiting for him to get back with me. Good luck!

All the Borla catbacks keep the spare. I've got the 417 didn't even remove it to install. If you can't get around the $800 range it would be good deal IMO. Cost me $1k in Canada. :/

I've purchased from this guy before, and he's very reasonable when considering "Best Offers". At least he was reasonable on the product line I bought from him.
My MagnaFlow was nearly 30% off. IF you are able to get 30% off of this one, the price will be under $700. I'm not saying you can get 30% off, but it's probably worth a shot.
