I absolutely love the sound of the borla atak ... Just can't see spending 1000 for just a cat back... Does it drone at all at cruising speeds?

That's awesome! How much did that magnaflow run? Was there any noticeable power changes?

I got it from autoanything.com, they wanted a little over $800 but offer price matching, so I found the same system on amazon.com and gave them the link and they matched the price.

$560

It's listed as being for a 2011 but as you can see it will fit a 2013.

Not sure about any power increase only have 1500 miles on my truck and never really opened it up but a couple times.

If there is any increase I wouldn't know, the truck is stock 360hp. I bought it mainly for the sound and looks.

I'm currently set up with a muffler swap to a dynomax VT with a resonator delete. Sounds great but I would still like it to be a little more aggressive.

I have a buddy that customizes exhausts (dirtydeeds.com or BAMuffler, aka Keith). He's made a lot of exhausts for Tundras and FJ's. He's gonna start working on the Fords. He'll be using my 5.0 for a tester. Hopefully I can get one on soon and post some pics and videos. Do a search on BAMuffler on the internet and you can see the work he's done.

Does your Db have any drone in the cab? How does it sound with normal driving, has a nice aggressive tone but not over the top?
The closest that I'm aware of that Borla does is the dual out the side like the one pictured here:

Well my system is pretty new and I've not had it on the highway for more then 15 minutes. I tried with my foot on the accelerator and foot off and once I was at cruising speed I notice little or no noise/drone but my 2013 cab seems so well insulated that I didn't have to turn up my stereo to hear it due to drone that I've heard in other systems.

My system is very aggressive if I put my foot down it scream but I did intentionally buy the "loudest" of the 3 models but it's not obnoxiously loud. They sell 3 variations all designed differently so you need to hear them all to decide which you prefer.

I suggest checking out many of their youtube videos comparing the 3 various systems. www.borla.com

Took me about an hour start to finish to remove stock and put on the Mag system. I have to admit however I am a mechanic by trade and I have an air compressor/tools in my garage.

I have absolutely no regrets with my system.

Note: They call it a cat back but it's actually a resonator back, if you want it louder you have to get a resonator delete pipe. I thought about that but am glad I didn't, with the factory res it is just right for my liking.

P.S. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.

.

The Borla Cat-Back system came with all the hardware including clamps and hangers required to make it dual exhaust and it took 1 1/4 hours to remove the old and install the new exhaust. The hangers provided are actually better quality then the Ford OEM ones and the spare tire did not have to be removed for installation.

I'm not knocking one system over another sound and peoples preference over having a single or dual exhaust is completely subjective I just say make the decision you're most happy with. Many of the systems are all excellent and prices fluctuate and the buyer is spoiled by choice.

Magnaflow is by far my favorite after hearing several different brands in person. I do like Borla however, I just like my Magnaflow because its not very loud down the highway at 65, but when you step into it the sound is very nice.

I can't wait until I can buy my ATAK system. I love borla. I also love Bassani but I don't see anything out there for our trucks. I had a Bassani cat-back on one of my Mustangs and full headers to tailpipe on another. They sounded better the the other 10 systems I had on various Mustangs.

Amazon is now showing this exhaust at $827 on the link above. I played with the search a little and found one at $656.
