Default Best Performance Exhaust for Ecoboost

Right now I have an offroad downpipe with the stock catback on the truck. I've done my research and read through a lot of forums. Full race has a good article which is a few years old... and it seems that anything larger than a 3" catback you will lose low end torque and power with the ecoboost.

Performance wise I notice a big difference between factory midpipe and an offroad mid pipe with a tune specific to having an Catless(offroad) midpipe. Looking at the factory catback it seems that coming out of the muffler is 3". But before it is 2.5" coming into the resonator and muffler.

I was contemplating on getting a 3" catback with muffler but power wise is it going to be worth the 3-400 dollars?

So what is the general concensus on the Best Catback Exhaust Diameter for power??

Any Opinions or articles are welcome.. Thanx

No power to be made with cat back only. 4" is over kill and nets a loss of low end power. These turbos are so small that a 3" is plenty!

Power increase wise, you wont see a big difference like you did on the downpipes.

Go with what catback you like the sound and budget for best as performance gains will all be right about the same for any decent brand.

Downpipes are different story but you already have that done.

I wish someone made a 3" resonator delete pipe, I'd be all over that.

Ok thank you guys for the replies that is kind of what I figured.. stick with 3" or smaller... for resonator deletes I found this for 4" which is useless.. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mb...lfEaAh7f8P8HAQ

seems like my best bang for the buck is to just leave the catback stock.lol
