I changed oil for the first time yesterday at 2000 miles. My first change was free but decided I did not want to drive all the way out to the dealership and wait etc. I put Mobile 1 10-30w in it. I plan to change at every 5,000 miles. I have been using Mobile 1 for about 6 years now. I did want to try Penzoil Ultra but Oreilly and Autozone did not have it. They had the Platinum but not the Ultra. It was a PIA to reach the filter as well. The skid plate is in the way so the filter has to be removed from the top. It is pretty hard to reach and to put back on. But I am sure the next time will be easier. I feel for anyone trying to reach it when their engind is hot. Reaching your arms through there will be cooked by the heat.

Go to the forums. There are real life tribologists who will look at your UOAs and give you recommendations there.

You know that skid plate comes off don't you? There are several white fasteners that turn like 1/4 of the way. This allows that fabric or whatever it is to be removed enough to reach up to get the filter.

Yes I saw that thanks. I did remove the sound deadening cover, but did not want to get into removing the skid plate just to get to the filter. But I suppose if the engine is hot it is the only way because you would burn your arms from the heat trying to get the filter from the top.
