Default stuck between a rock and a hard place

Ok so i am trying to decide on which engine to get. I cant decide on the 5.0 or the ecoboost. I've read a ton of articles on the ecoboost but really havent found alot on the 5.0. I just wanted some input from you guys that have them and can help persuade me on picking one. hopefully you guys can help me out thanks

hah it's not hard - just pick the one you like for whatever reason you have and buy it. They're both impressive engines.

Me, I like the sweet sound of the turbos spooling and the sound of an engine working HARD at low RPM's - got addicted to it after years of pulling mountain grades with a semi. The engine note when the Ecoboost has its turbos wound out at around 1400 RPM pulling a long steep grade (at 45 MPH) is music to my ears... Obviously, I got the Ecoboost. I can't remember the exact RPM. It sounds awesome though. It's below 2000 and above 1000.

The 5.0 is a traditional V-8 - sounds like a V-8, looks like a V-8, is a V-8. Has a LOT of power.

Don't buy either one for fuel economy - they both get about the same. You'd never notice the difference from what I've seen on these forums.

There have been a few discussions in the past, and they normally end up being pissing matches towards the end. I would agree with p38fln, cant go wrong with either one

Drove both of them. I came from a diesel and the eco was the closest to the way my diesel ran so i went with it. I would say personal preference.
