Think the general consensus is to pick a dry flow drop in to avoid the issues of over oiling and the noise of a cai.

For the most part anything that allows more air flow stands a chance to make or cause some kind of sound. My experience with open type CAI's are the ones that will cause more vibration. This AEM fits perfect in the stock filter box and does breath pretty good, but I get zero vibration and I have a Airaid intake setup just like above. The drop in K&N does not fit as good its too tight, even though they own the AEM line. I have had several different ones on my truck and this one is perfect for me. You can't go wrong with the OEM filter it flows fine. This AEM is a little more aggressive as far as sound, but its up to you. I wished I would have tried this setup first after spending money on the others. This filter is about $38.00, about the cheapest of all the others mentioned. So if you don't want anymore volume at all stay with the OEM. Good luck
