Default Best adjust or mod for good mpg

Can anyone help me on what's better to do to improve my mpg. Give me any ideas. I'm going to check my spark plugs gap this weekend. My best is 15.8 mpg. Looking to get something better if I can in my Ecoboost. Thanks

You have to explain a little more. Your best what is 15.8? Best average tank? Or best mpg number you've seen on the display. If its tank. Then you have to say what kinda truck you have. That's probably about average from what I've seen and read. I've seen some with 4x4s say they get better. So all I can think is that ford changed their display calculations or something. Cause I just can't understand why a 4wd would get better mileage. Perhaps someone else can shed some more light.

Time to stir the hornets nest....

Fill up with premium!

And to answer more seriously, I average around 17 in the city with my 5.0 4x4 Screw, which is roughly half stop and go, and half, slow roll. Highway at 55 - 60 in lighter traffic, normally over 20, today got almost 24 on the way home (23.7mpg) at 55 mph the whole way (left late so missed traffic). Highway at 80 mph, back down to 17 mpg.

The only time I get mileage lower than that is running E85.

Best adjustment/Mod is to lift your foot off the pedal.

Not going to do a hell of a lot better than stock to be honest. Just make sure you air pressure is correct, clean air filter and change oil on it's suggested schedule.

I have a 12 4x4 screw ecoboost. And the best I've got is 15.8 miles per gallon. Well that's what the display says. I try to reset it when I fill th e tank up and it seams to be the same everytime. And I don't fly down the road. I keep with the traffic and even stay in the slow lanes. So I know its not that. I did enougn of that pedal to the floor when I first got it.

What gears do you have? Is your truck stock? Where do you live? All this will take a toll on mpg.

Drive like your brakes don't work which means plan ahead. Use cruise control on flat Terrain. Use the eco display and try to stay above the line. Premium only helps me when towing.

Short trips and unnecessary idling kill fuel mileage.
