Just with the canned 87 tune I've felt a difference.... Shifts better and throttle response is right there.. Definitely worth it

You think that's good, wait for the custom performance tune... Wow! Didn't know I could chirp the tires shifting from 1st to 2nd!

I got the 87 performance tune from MPT. I also got the 93 performance tune for the local drags. Can't wait to try it.

I'm still shopping around for a custom...so far it's between MPT and 5star...I don't want anything crazy...just a "safe!!" 87 performance tune...all I have is a high flow drop in dry air filter... And duel exhaust no resonators...it's still winter here so I have my small winter tires on so ill be putting my 34" nitto trails and 20" XD spy's back on soon... With a custom tune I hoping it will help with my 3.55 gears...going in to dealer Monday for state inspection and "lift" inspection...oil change etc. so I put it back to stock tune yesterday..I've read that if you drive 50 miles on "stock" they can't see it was flashed...will see

87 performance is awesome... For me that is. My wife doesn't care for the aggressive shift. That's her only complaint. Still not that bad. You could go easier on the shift with your tune. I also have a drop in filter, muffler swap to dynomax vt and resonator delete.

3.7! Only had it for a couple weeks but tons of power great fuel mileage, really am surprised that there's not more on here

According to another member, the e85 tune for the 5.0 wasn't any better than the 93 tune.

Aside from the shift firmness, how is the shift pattern? How about throttle values? How about mileage? I have some tunes that I can't seem to get even close to right. The shift patterns are not that good unless you are running around accelerating like a maniac, and the throttle values are flat ridiculous. Barely touching the throttle (less than 5%) nets 30+% throttle opening that backs off as you gain speed (without changing throttle pedal position). The overly aggressive throttle values provide a placebo effect for more power, when in reality, the tune is just commanding more throttle opening. Just curious if your tuning from MPT is similar before I drop more money on a tune to find out I should just leave it stock.....

Throttle values are pretty close to what you've described. Gonna have to check to see if throttle position backs out. Right foot has been too heavy to keep at same position for long. I can't get even close to accurately tell you what the gas mileage is because of this. I dislike the shift pattern on the economy tune but really like it on the performance tune. Performance tune seems to be able to hold a gear longer than stock going up the same hill without a drop in speed. It won't hold a gear longer than necessary if you're just cruising. The real test will be next Friday at the local drags. Canned 87 octane tune best ET 9.68 on 1/8 mile. Stock best was 9.98.

Don't know if this helped.
