Hey guys I want to get a programmer or custom tune for my 2011 5.0 screw 4x4 XLT

What's some good brands and some good tunes to get better mileage more power etc. also a speedo corrector I have 33x12.50 nitto mud grapplers on her as well

Any input is helpful also pictures of your guys set ups !! Much thanks! Stephen

From what I have seen on here is its a toss up between 5* and MPT as far a tuning is concerned. As for fuel economy tunes several have complained the drivability sucks. I don't know any of this first hand but have read enough to steer me away from MPG tunes. I would however like to see a tune for tune comparison on a dyno between the top tuners. Whichever performance tuner you decide to run will probably earn your liking as soon as you hit the go pedal.

I'm wondering if a performance tune and maybe an upgrade on my exhaust will gain some mpg since I did the tires swap from stock to 33s it dropped about 2mpg hwy

There are so many variations to this that I'd say your going to have to purchase one and try it for yourself. Comparing MPG between to trucks with two different drives is virtually impossible not to mention the differences in the trucks.

My buddy has 34" tires and his mileage is 14 average. Funny thing, that's up from 12mpg that he was getting pre tuned. He's running 5star 87. Loves the shifting and his extra mpgs.

I did both the tires and exhaust on the 5.0 and there was no change in gain on a tune actually got a little less because of driving habits. With more power comes responsibility.

Yeah I hear that miss my old modded cummins power and mileage lol
Also as far as a tune goes francii has a good deal going right now but idk if I want a programmer just yet?? Is it worth 300+$$$

Livernois makes tunes also, I thought I read somewhere on here for all out performance, Livernois was tough to beat. Also I was curious if JLP does tunes? After all they have the fastest 5.0 F-150s, I read last night they got one to run a 10.9????
