Just wondering how many of you guys with custom tunes, whether 5.0 or eco, have never logged their custom tunes and have experienced any negative effects from not getting revisions.
I currently have two MPT tunes that neither have been logged as of yet. I am taking a 6hr road trip to Austin, TX this weekend and although i've never logged either one of my tunes i still feel confident in running them for this 6hr trip. Anyone else see an issue with running their custom tune without logging it? If all feels and drive smooth i should have the go ahead to run it until i can get around to logging it correct?
MPT, or any reputable vendor for that matter, would not send out custom tunes that can cause much harm in less than 1000mi, right?
Or do you guys suggest running the stock tune until i can do so? Opinions please.

I don't know whether to vote logged or not, because I do check several things with Torque Pro and have seen enough that I do want to log my MPT tune. All others look good. I think you are being naive (not attacking you) to think you are okay in taking a long trip without any idea if you are in the danger zone or not. That said, I ran LMS tunes for 32K in ignorant bliss. But tuners make mistakes, different strategies react in different ways.

Yeah tuners definitely make mistakes. My MPT base file was negative knock on every log. Part throttle and full. The other f150 I logged had MPT and his was negative knock across the range as well. Every truck reacts differently. It takes a few minutes to do a log for peace of mind.

It's not about how many miles you go, it's about what's going on in you motor in a given situation. Cruising isn't of too much concern, it's in mid to upper rmp when more fuel and air are required. If you don't log it's your own fault. Doesn't matter who it comes frim

I would log without question. Mike sent me my mpt performance tune and told me a log was not needed and I went upon myself to log it and glad I did because it showed high knock numbers and sent it to Mike and he said ya that's not good, sent me a revision. So now I log every tune. It takes 10 minutes tops.

I don't think you have to run hard, I was getting knock has high as 7.75* just cruising around town.
