Anyone make an ecoboost STICKY ??
With the common problems and quick ecoboost fixes, thought there should be a STICKY for it.
Misfire / stutter
1) spark plugs - change interval of 20k miles for safety. Use motorcraft sp534 plugs gapped to .030
2) 1/16" weep hole - necessary to prevent the condensate buildup in the intercooler that causes spark blowout (misfire).
Rattle
- listen for the startup rattle - cam phasers going bad.
Oil
fuel in oil - get catch can or fix hpfp.

My truck was recently shuttering and going into limp mode. Thought it was going to be the inter cooler, but turns out it was a bad throttle body. Occurred at 43,000 miles.
