I just got a new 2011 F150 5.0ltr. I only have 1100 miles on my engine and it blew on my truck. By the time a buddy noticed a drip spot in his driveway, I had lost almost 3 litres. Dealership filled it up and let me drive it home for the night. I'm hoping to have a new part by Monday but who knows. Now I am driving a crappy Escape Demo until they figure it out, but I need a truck again by Tues to move my tools from site to site. I'm wondering how much damage I have done to my transmission and wether or not I should demand a new be put in so I don't have any more problems. Wish I had heard about this before hand. Anyone reading this post have any idea if I may have damaged my transmission?

Me too
I bought an 2011 FX4 F150 Ecoboost last month and after 5038km I find myself without it due due a burnt tranny caused by a faulty pump. I noticed smoke coming from behind my vehicle so I pulled over to inspect and noticed tons of transmission fluid on the ground with a great long line of fluid behind it on the highway from where I pulled in. The light only came on as I was pulling over...ever late. I was stuck 2000km from home for 6 days with no help from Ford has Ford care could not find a rental for me so I went to UHaul forked out 2k and got a truck so I could get out of there and go to work. I find myself a week and a half later with still no help from Ford Care. This is a purchase I wish I would have never done. I am thinking going viral with a detailed story of my situation. There has been such a lack of help from my dealership and Ford Care that I can't sit and do nothing anymore. Now they expect I'm going to drive back 4000km to recover it (2000 there + 2000km back)....I don't think so. I've fork out enough money so far.

bad pump
I got the new Ecoboost and had if for a total of 37 Hours and 61 miles when the pump blew on mine. Had to get towed and that was back on July 12th. over 3 weeks now and still not fixed. Sad day watching my new truck get loaded onto a tow truck on my second day or ownership.

How can I verify my build date and what are the affected trucks and dates?
I took delivery April 6th, the same day it arrived on the truck so it must have been built in late march.
