Are you talking about the pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body? The $200 piece of black powder coated pipe that if you're lucky will .1hp? I highly doubt it. That was posted on here a while ago and the general consensus was that one coule be made from scrap for half price and your not going to gain anything from it. There are bigger restrictions than that to focus on.

The best bang for the buck on a ecoboost is fill it with 91/93octane and drive it

I stand corrected. Still not worth $200.

Correction, $271.

Agree. I didn't pay that for my intake. But, this is why I believe the full race guys are saying they are getting more power. Better flow.

I began adding some mods in hopes of gaining fuel economy without losing horsepower. So what I added was an afe stage 2 cold air intake, which causes some turbo bark which varies depending on which Superchips tune I use - another add on. Speaking of tuners, Superchips flasaq tuner was kinda half baked when they released it. I experienced a lot of sputter and backfiring at higher rpms in all tune options but the low end power increases were tremendous. Running the stock tune was the smoothest though. The backfiring prompted me to get cooler ngk iridiums sparkplugs installed which took care of the backfiring at higher rpms but it seems the responsiveness and power is lacking somewhat from the previous increase. In addition to the intake, plugs and tuner, I also installed the afe 4" Mach force cat back exhaust which did provide some noticeable power gains and some irritating exhaust rumble on acceleration and hi way speeds.

I say all this as background to answer the question of whether I think it's worthwhile spending 1500.00 plus on these types of mods. And the short answer is no. I haven't received any gains in the fuel economy department, but I did receive some extra power which I wasn't specifically trying to gain. So if you want to keep more of your money in your pocket by increasing your fuel economy, you won't get it by adding the mods I did.

Fairly certain no one in this thread said anything about fuel economy. And never buy mods expecting mileage increases. 9 times out of 10 you'll be disappointed.
