I recently installed a cold air intake on my truck and I love the difference. I honestly think it was a more noticeable change over the tuner. Gave it a huge growl under the hood, and impressively improved throttle response. The butt dyno can tell a increase in torque and power. I definitely recommend it to any 6.2 owner.

Nice! Which one did you buy?

I have one too. I really don't care what anyones opinion on them is but I like mine and that's all that matters to me.

I have the full AFE on my fx4. It makes lots of noise..... but that's about all it does. May give the sensation you are faster but it definitely did absolutely nothing for power. I got it for next to nothing and I do like the burble and roar it makes so that's all that matters.

The factory exhaust system on these trucks is actually a choke point... even the catback. Your factory y pipe is 3.5"... and then it necks to 2.5".... Um. .. no. Even the Super Duty and the Raptor have larger systems.

I have the stage two afe installed. I actually was out biking two days in a row and the first night I installed in the intake and I honestly felt that it pulled the exact same trailer alot better with the intake installed. The hills were I was shifting down to maintain 130 I was holding it in 6th without a issue. It might be a minor improvement but I believe there was one. No numbers on a fuel mileage change though.

I found a Silver 2014 truck identical to my Gray 2012 with a 6.2L. I'm seriously considering trading my ecoboost in on the 6.2L. I'm averaging 16 mpg mixed on mine, and that's the type of driving I do and I am missing the rumble of the V8 pretty bad. I just don't think turbo whistle will make me happy if I put an exhaust on the ecoboost. The only difference is the one that I am looking at has 3.55 gears vs mine having 3.73. Bad thing, it's 8 hours from me. It's proving very difficult finding a loaded out 6.2L Fx4 without the appearance package. If I found one local, I know I would probably trade.

8 hr drive to get something that will make you happy for years...... I would say it's worth the time.

Well, the truck I currently have I drove 6 hours to get. I suppose a couple more hours will not hurt, haha. I got online and looked at the dealer ratings that has this truck. It is pretty bad (3 out of 5) and most of the reviews say everyone is rude that works there and will say anything on the phone to get you there, haha. Kind of makes it a little hesitant to even call. I may call this evening to see what kind of deal I can get. The rebates are making it pretty attractive again to buy new. I'm also torn between waiting on the new 2015, but then I'm stuck with the 5.0L if I want a V8. Hmm....

I'm excited about the new f150, but I'm going to wait a year or two until they figure the bugs out.
