But your Raptor is heavier, wider truck with 4:10 rear end with 35s.

I'm overjoyed with the MPG mine is getting. 12.5-13 around town (majority of my driving) and 15-17 highway.

Was wondering if you were saving up for the I-1 by ProCharger. http://www.procharger.ca/products/fo...raptor-62.html

Good evening 6.2 family!

Just ordered my first tuner- sct x4 w/ five 5 star tunes - for my limited!
How's the shifting on the 93 performance tune? It's my daily driver, curiosity is killing me and I want to level my expectations.
Any input on what to expect on performance would be appreciated also.

Have a great weekend and thank you in advance.

You will pick up some power but what will be noticeable is torque management will be turned down, all limiters removed and the shift schedule will be more aggressive.

It will take a couple days (depending on how much you drive) for it to 'settle down' after uploading the tune so don't let the silly shifting and power dumps that happen right after tuning bother you. It will need to re-learn your driving style.

My aftermarket tunes didn't make my shifts how I like them... firm and fast. They are quicker than stock but still mushy in my opinion. I swear most people have absolutely no concept of what a firm shift even is. Honestly after driving my one 6.2 with a stock tune for about 9000 miles and my other tuned one about 11000 miles, they shift about the same beyond the tuned one is a bit quicker and only slightly firmer. The speed transistion is noticeable though and a much welcome improvement but still not enough. I bought HP tuners and plan on fixing it myself to my liking. I don't want neck breaking shifts but chirping the tires wide open would be great. Just forget it as it sits. Considering a 20 mph roll puts the back end of the truck sideways I am sure I have adequate power to chirp the tires from first to second gear lol.

And yes, tuning is a big help but honestly since I own two of them and drive them both I notice less and less difference the more miles I put on the stocker versus the tuned one. I drive it hard and it adapts. The throttle response on the tuned one is better but it's not a massive difference. The bottom end will get much stronger tuned... However driving the bag off my stock one it has gotten a lot stronger the more miles I put on it too. The only mod to the stock one was an mbrp 3.5" catback like I run on the tuned one, and yes it helped. However removing that 2.5" stock junk off this engine should make you expect that. I run premium fuel in both from day one and it is what it is.

Headers and a procharger will improve the currently "tuned" one immensely.
