Default another vent to atmosphere question

I know this has been covered several times...I have found a lot of info on 2011's and a lot on 2013's. of course, I have a 2012. Do I follow the same procedure on my 2012 as the people with 2011's?

Also, is it ok if I only do the passenger side?

Do I need to do a filter or can I just point that hose downward?

I just have a stock system. What does pcv stand for? I haven't bought any aftermarket BOVs. I simply just want the sound of the VTA that I have heard on youtube. As far as I know, u just disconnect the recirculation tube from the intake tube. I just dont know which part to close off/filter off.

He is talking about venting the BOV's/Bypass to Atmosphere.

Yes, same procedure as the 11's. I ran filters, some say you don't have to

I just did this on my 2011 Ecoboost...
I sourced the Caps through one of my Vendors,
Had to buy 100 of them but fit perfectly 1 1/16" I.D. stretchable vinyl cap (Have plenty but can't sell them on here...too new of a member.)
Found a filter at a local parts store (O'Reilly's - about $26 each with tax).
Waiting on the second one to Vent the second side.

local hardware stores should stock the vinyl caps, they are used on lawn chairs. Got mine for like 2 dollars. I used a hairdryer to heat them just a bit so they would slip on, then zip tied it as insurance. Then get a hose clamp, and I used a simple breather cap, like one on an old v8 valve cover, pushed it into the hose and clamped it tight. I did both sides for under $20.

Default Any CEL issues when bypassing PCV intake on ecoboost?

Venting the passenger side PCV to the atmosphere is what I'm contemplating on my 2.7L. Has anyone observed any CEL issues after implementing this? Would I expect to see any increase in condensation in the crankcase with a working PCV? Thanks.
