Default Another EB engine failure:

From what I can see, looks like piston damages from tune that desensitized or disabled factory knock sensors.

Until I can tear it all down and inspect closer I wont know for sure as this could have been damaged from partial hydro lock over time as well, but piston broke just to the side of the wrist pin and left app 1/3 still in the bore. I will need to look for signs of detonation on the rest later. Drivers side head is damaged as well from parts hammering the chamber and valves:

We thought since this a 4X4 the owner would like a loaner that sits high so were giving him this to drive in the mean-time:

Wasn't the blowed-up engine enough injury. NOW you gotta add insult.

So, not an Ecoboost engine failure. A tune that disabled the protections built in by Ford engineers failure.

2 things to get ahead of yet another potential intentional maligned campaign that will help absolutely no one:

SSI has started a tuning tech forum that is open for all to ask questions and get factual answers. Not only is Shawn sharing his knowledge, there are others; engine builders, mechanics and even tuners who are also providing factual information to any and all who have area(s) of interest. Speculation, agenda, chest-thumping OR ask a question and get a factual answer - you choose.

I hope most by now have a clear understanding of Tracy; his motivations, business ethics and dealings. I will watch this thread closely. I have a few questions that will become pertinent as and if Tracy continues on this path.

So posting pics of a blown engine and people asking what tune is an "agenda"?
